MRS. SANDRA M. MOUR

Sandra Martinez Mour serves as the Director of Orchestras at Emerson High School in McKinney, TX. She began her teaching career in 2009 with Irving ISD. Throughout her tenure there, she assumed leadership roles at Lamar Middle School and Nimitz High School. Mrs. Mour has also taught at Arlington High School, Arlington ISD, where she held the position of Associate Director of Orchestras for four years.
Mrs. Mour is an alumna of Baylor University, having obtained a Bachelor of Music Education, cello as her primary instrument. During her undergraduate years, she performed with the Baylor Symphony, Baylor String Orchestra, Early Music Ensemble, San Angelo Symphony, and Valley Symphony Orchestra. In 2018, she earned a Master's in Education Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. Throughout her career, Mrs. Mour has undertaken the roles of district lead teacher, committee member on the curriculum for orchestral instruction, Region 20 Orchestra Division Chair, and Region 20 Middle School Coordinator. She actively engages as an adjudicator across the state and maintains membership in various professional music organizations, including TMEA, TODA, TMAA, and ASTA. She is a FASE Diverse String Teacher Fellow. |
