MRS. SANDRA M. MOUR

Sandra Martinez Mour serves as the Director of Orchestras at Emerson High School in McKinney, TX. She embarked on her teaching journey in 2009 within the Irving ISD. Throughout her decade-long tenure there, she assumed leadership roles at Lamar Middle School and Nimitz High School. Prior to her role at Emerson, Mrs. Mour taught at Arlington High School, where she held the position of Associate Director of Orchestras for four years.
Mrs. Mour is an alumna of Baylor University, having obtained a Bachelor of Music Education with a focus on cello as her primary instrument. During her undergraduate years, she showcased her musical talents with the Baylor Symphony, Baylor String Orchestra, Early Music Ensemble, San Angelo Symphony, and Valley Symphony Orchestra. In 2018, she furthered her education by achieving a Master's in Education Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. Throughout her career, Mrs. Mour has undertaken the roles of district lead teacher, committee member on the curriculum for orchestral instruction, Region 20 Orchestra Division Chair, and Region 20 Middle School Coordinator. She actively engages as an adjudicator across the state and maintains membership in various professional music organizations, including TMEA, TODA, TMAA, and ASTA. |
